Revenue Cloud: CPQ, Billing, Subscription Management in one stack

Revenue Cloud bundles CPQ (Configure-Price-Quote), Billing, and Subscription Management with the new Revenue Lifecycle Management (RLM) layer. This pillar covers what each piece does, how they share a data model, and where the stack still has rough edges.

CPQ vs Billing vs RLM

CPQ creates the quote and order. Billing turns the order into invoices and revenue schedules. RLM (Revenue Lifecycle Management) is the new abstraction that lets product, pricing, and lifecycle changes propagate consistently across all of CPQ, Billing, and ERP integrations.

What changed in 2025-26

Salesforce shifted from "Salesforce CPQ + Billing" (legacy stack) toward Revenue Cloud Advanced (RLM-native). New customers should default to Revenue Cloud Advanced; existing CPQ + Billing customers should plan a 12-18 month migration.
