Prepare for Your Salesforce AI Associate Credential Trailmix on Trailhead. Work through every module. Pay extra attention to AI Capabilities in CRM (32%) and Ethical Considerations (25%).
- Build foundational AI vocabulary
Independent of Salesforce-specific knowledge, build vocabulary fluency: supervised vs unsupervised learning, generative vs predictive AI, LLM vs traditional ML, training data, model bias, hallucination. The exam tests this vocabulary repeatedly.
- Take the free practice exam

- Schedule and sit the exam

- The ethics section is heavily weighted (25%). Do not skim it; expect scenario-based judgment questions about responsible AI.
- Free does not mean easy. Pass rates are higher than the Admin cert but the conceptual breadth catches candidates who only studied product features.
- Maintenance is mandatory. Three free modules per year. Missing two consecutive cycles revokes the credential.
- The cert tests vocabulary as much as Salesforce specifics. Candidates with deep Einstein product knowledge but no general AI background often miss the AI Fundamentals questions.
- AI Associate is a starting credential. It does not validate hands-on Einstein configuration; pair with the AI Specialist or Agentforce Specialist cert for role-specific depth.
