Create, Read, Update, Delete
The four basic operations that can be performed on data records. In Salesforce, CRUD permissions are set at the profile or permission set level to control what users can do with objects.
Example use case
An admin grants the Marketing team Read and Create permissions on the Campaign object but restricts Delete access to prevent accidental data loss.
